The Bug was the first ever fully automatic quick coupler, which once again took coupler evolution to another level. It is sold worldwide and branded by most of the world’s leading OEMs. Caterpillar first sold the coupler in 1999 as the Cat Pin Grabber Plus (Cat PGP), it is also sold by Volvo as the UQF, Case/CNH as the MultiFit, JCB, as the JCB Quick Coupler, as well as by Komatsu & Hitachi as the BUG.
The Bug, named so because of its unique shape is without a doubt the world’s most popular coupler to date. It has served thousands of contactors globally with unrivalled value for money and has saved them countless hours of lost production. It was the first of its type and made changing buckets/attachments even safer.
The Bug is also the only coupler ever to achieve genuine OEM status. Capable of passing not only the HSE standards but also the very stringent in-house evaluation carried out by each OEM before they will put their name to any product.
